Eréne Lejeune started her journey into the field of traditional medicines(eastern and western) in 1998. In Portland, Oregon she apprenticed Eduardo Chavarria, a Bio-Energetic massage therapist, psychotherapist and mayan shaman. Eduardo taught Eréne the importance of visceral manipulation in accessing and reading emotional holding patterns in the body. In 2000, she began to study with Gilles Marin, founder and director of the Chi Nei Tsang Institute of Berkeley, California and author of Healing From Within with Chi Nei Tsang and Five Elements, Six Conditions. She has since received her Advanced Practitioner and Educator certificate from the institute. Eréne teaches ongoing classes in San Francisco, California and occasionally workshops in Portland, Oregon where she attended Portland State University. Eréne received her diploma in Master Herbal Studies with the Australasian College of Health Sciences in Portland, Oregon in 2008. Eréne's ongoing education includes regular study with Liu Ming, founder of Da Yuan Circle and Dr. Nida Chenagstang, Director of IATTM International. Eréne began studying Traditional Tibetan Medicine in 2008 with Dr. Nida Chenagstang, and was fortunate enough to accompany him to his home in Amdo, Tibet in the summer of 2010. After this unique opportunity emphasizing clinical studies in local hospitals in Amdo as well as plant medicine study in the mountains of Eastern Tibet, she accepted the position of Executive Director of The Sorig Institute (thesoriginstitute.com), a school of Traditional Tibetan Medicine based in the San Francisco/Bay Area.
Eréne feels incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to study with many great teachers and practitioners of traditional medicine and spiritual practices from around the world. Her practice reflects these influences and continues to grow.
She currently resides in San Francisco, California with her husband Christopher and her dog, Fortune who you may spot around the office. |
